Zouch Primary School becomes part of the White Horse Federation

Tidworth’s Zouch Primary School has officially become part of the White Horse Federation (WHF), a Swindon based, multi-academy trust. With a track record of improvement in standards and attainment, the WHF will work with colleague and governors at Zouch to build on, and continue, the excellent initiatives started by the interim head teacher Stuart Telling as well as developing a progragramme of school improvement to continue to journey already started and so recently recognised in the HMI report.
The federation has appointed Julie Tridgell, as the head of Zouch and she will take her post in September 2014. Julie was Head Teacher at Nova Hreod, a mixed comprehensive secondary school in Swindon where Ofsted described her leadership of the school, as ‘outstanding’. They also noted her ‘energetic, determined and relentless approach to raising standards’. Julie brings to Zouch all these qualities and experience and will immediately work with staff, parents and the community to develop her vision for the future of the school and demonstrate her passion and determination to achieve that vision.
Commenting on the move, Dr Nick Capstick, CEO of the WHF said, “The pupils and parents of Zouch deserve the very best school and education opportunities and under the leadership of Stuart Telling they have had a flavour of what can be achieved with genuine partnership and greater ambition for the school We at he White Horse Federation are experts in raising standards and providing the interventions and strategies to make that happen and the school is now on a more solid footing for us to be able to achieve this. I’m delighted that Zouch has become part of our federation and I am looking forward to working with everyone involved in the school and its wider community”.
Also commenting on the transfer, Lauren Connor, MD of the WHF and responsible for school improvement said, “ I’m also excited at the appointment of Julie as head at Zouch. Julie’s previous school was cited as one of the most improved schools in the country and I believe that bringing her exemplary leadership experiences and insights to a primary school will offer great opportunities to the school”.
