Rachel Gallyot

Interim Regional Director for Swindon

Rachel is The White Horse Federation’s regional director of the Swindon hub. She is responsible for the outcomes of pupils in the area and ensuring that every child achieves their full potential. As the regional director, Rachel leads the Swindon hub which offers both support and challenge to its schools.

Prior to this role, Rachel was leading a strategic school improvement fund project to improve the writing outcomes for key stage 2 pupils, especially those who are disadvantaged. She has also previously worked as a senior standards and effectiveness officer in Slough. In her earlier career, Rachel was a headteacher and executive headteacher, working with children from age 2 to 19.

Alongside her role within the trust, Rachel is also the chair of trustees of an early years setting and sits as a director on the board of a multi-academy trust in Northampton.
