Christopher Belli Appointed New Regional Director

The White Horse Federation is delighted to announce that we have appointed Christopher Belli to be our new regional director for Gloucester, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire.

Mr Belli has worked in education for 19 years, and was most recently the headteacher of Churchdown School Academy in Gloucester. During his five-year tenure, Mr Belli led rapid improvement across all areas of the school and received high praise from Ofsted.

With extensive experience of education in the Gloucester area and a proven record as a successful leader and educator, Mr Belli was the perfect candidate for the role.

Upon being appointed, Christopher Belli said: “I’m excited to join such a large and thriving multi-academy trust. It’s absolutely clear to me that The White Horse Federation places students at the centre of everything it does. The children’s best interests are the key motivation and driver behind my work. I am determined to ensure that everyone I lead and support provides the best possible education for their students.”

Each of our regional directors covers a different hub of TWHF schools, which cover the Swindon, Wiltshire, Reading, Oxfordshire, and Gloucester local authorities. They are responsible for supporting their designated schools and guiding them on how to enhance their academic and extracurricular provisions.

Dr Nicholas Capstick, CEO of The White Horse Federation, is delighted to have added someone as experienced as Mr Belli to the federation’s team of regional directors.

Dr Capstick said: “I couldn’t be happier that Christopher is joining the federation. His wealth of knowledge and experience make him a great addition to our team of regional directors. Their combined expertise will further strengthen the quality of support we give to our schools and increase opportunities for us to really enhance the life chances of every pupil and student within the trust.”

Christopher Belli will join accomplished educators Simon Cowley and Julian Morgan as The White Horse Federation’s regional directors for the 2019 academic year. His appointment increases the capacity of the federation’s existing regional directors, allowing them to drive more rapid progress at the trust’s schools and further improve outcomes for pupils and their families.

Everyone at the trust is excited to start working with Christopher and continue improving outcomes for the pupils and staff at our schools.
