Forest & Sandridge Receives ‘Excellent’ SIAMS Report
We are very proud to announce that Forest & Sandridge CE Primary School has been awarded the highest possible grade in a glowing SIAMS report by an inspector from The Church of England Education Office.
Forest & Sandridge is one of a number of church schools within The White Horse Foundation. We are proud that at the school, in the words of the inspector, “Every child and adult is loved, nurtured and cared for, respected, and valued as an individual. This enables all to grow and flourish.”
The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) report assesses church schools for the impact of their Christian vision in enabling pupils and adults to flourish. It is the most influential and reliable guide to the success with which church schools embody their Christian values.
Visiting on 18th October, the inspector assessed:
- The promotion, impact, and effectiveness of the school’s distinctive Christian vision and values.
- The impact of collective worship at the school.
- The effectiveness of religious education (RE).
In all three areas inspected, Forest & Sandridge received the highest possible grade. This is a very impressive achievement that we join the school in celebrating.
At The White Horse Federation, we are proud to give our church schools the freedom to follow their own distinctive Christian vision and ethos. We are therefore delighted that the Forest & Sandridge’s Christian values were praised in the SIAMS report: “Compassion, courage, humility, and respect are hallmarks of the curriculum and undergird Forest & Sandridge's way of life.”
Everyone at The White Horse Federation would like to congratulate Forest & Sandridge on their fantastic SIAMS report. For more details and to see the report itself, read the school’s blog post.
