Gloucester Academy Hosting Careers Breakfast for Local Businesses
On Wednesday 26th June, Gloucester Academy is hosting a careers breakfast for local businesses and organisations at Gloucester Service Station.
With the support of The White Horse Federation, GA recently outlined its vision to prepare all students for the future, using vocational opportunities and practical classes to deliver a career-focused curriculum.
The careers breakfast, which runs from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., is the first opportunity for businesses and organisations to learn more about the project and find out how they can contribute.
The event will be hosted by Mike Steward, Vice Principal at Gloucester Academy, and Dr Nicholas Capstick OBE, CEO of The White Horse Federation multi-academy trust, which Gloucester Academy joined in March 2015.
One business that has already confirmed its attendance is Clarkson Evans, a large electrical installation company based in Gloucester.
Lindsey Young, Chief Operating Officer of Clarkson Evans, said: “Businesses have an important role to play in helping to inspire young people to be the best they can be and to support the development of employability skills. We hope to work with Gloucester Academy to engage their students in thinking about the next steps they’ll take after leaving school and support them in being well equipped for the workplace.”
Gloucester Academy is welcoming partnership from any business or organisation interested in preparing children for employment. You canfind out more about Gloucester Academy’s ‘Different Path to Success’ here.
