Grange Junior School Appoints New Principal
The White Horse Federation is delighted to announce that Grange Junior School has appointed Kirsty Dickenson to be the school’s new principal. Mrs Dickenson was previously deputy headteacher at Sun Hill Junior School, where she had been in the role for two successful years.
Replacing interim principal Tracy Knight, Mrs Dickenson will use her passion and experience to bring added stability to Grange Junior School.
Upon being appointed principal, Kirsty Dickenson said: “I am thrilled and delighted to be taking up the position of principal at Grange Junior School. My great passion is inspiring children through education with a love of learning, and I am excited to be in a position to develop this for the children of Grange Junior School.”
Mrs Dickenson’s knowledge and expertise will strengthen the leadership team at Grange Junior School as they build upon the progress made at the school in recent months.
Grange Junior School joined The White Horse Federation multi-academy trust in March. The trust is responsible for 32 schools across Swindon, Wiltshire, Gloucester, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire.
Julian Morgan, the federation’s regional director for Swindon, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Kirsty is joining Grange Junior School as principal. Her experience of leading a junior school and her passion for the education of children position both Kirsty and the school for great success.”
As Mrs Dickenson settles into her new role as principal of Grange Junior School, she will enter consultation with staff and parents to learn more about the challenges facing the school and its roadmap for improvement.
In the coming weeks, Mrs Dickenson will communicate her vision and strategy for improvement at the school through a series of blog posts.
Everyone at The White Horse Federation would like to welcome Kirsty to the family. We can’t wait to start working with her as we continue to make progress at Grange Junior School and improve outcomes for its staff and students.
