St Mary & All Saints CofE Joins the Federation

On 1st November, St Mary & All Saints CofE Primary School officially joined The White Horse Federation. The Reading-based primary school is the Trust’s second addition this academic year after Swindon’s St Luke’s Academy joined in September.

For The White Horse Federation, St Mary & All Saints CofE Primary School becomes the Trust’s second school in the Reading area, joining the John Madejski Academy. This creates a natural progression for students to stay within The White Horse Federation’s schools from reception through to year 11.

Alison Capstick, Director of Primary Education at The White Horse Federation, said: “It is with great pride and excitement that we welcome St Mary & All Saints to The White Horse Federation family. The school shares the same values-based approach to education as our Trust, which makes it a great fit for the Federation. We have already been working with the school on several levels and look forward with real optimism to making this official so we can continue working with the staff to improve outcomes for all of the current and future pupils at St Mary & All Saints.”

St Mary & All Saints CofE is a faith school, and as such, its values are grounded in its beliefs about children and inspired by the Bible. In particular, the school values:

  • Love, respect, care, and human kindness - acting in service of one another.
  • Justice, fairness, and equality - striving to give hope, aspiration, and opportunity to all.
  • Integrity and character - meeting challenges with honesty, resilience, and perseverance.
  • The joy of living and learning - giving thanks for fun, laughter, and play.

The White Horse Federation is delighted to have St Mary & All Saints CofE Primary School as part of the Trust, and we are looking forward to continuing our work with them to improve outcomes for their students and the school itself.
