TWHF School Contributes to NCCE Film
We are extremely proud that The Croft Primary School has been showcased in a promotional video by the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE)!
Georgia Mercier, lead computing teacher at The Croft, is interviewed as part of the video. Her expertise, both in computing and as an excellent primary school teacher, has helped the school become a leader in the field of computer education. Georgia also sits on the NCCE subject practitioner panel and has spoken at their events and in a recent podcast published by the centre.
The NCCE is a government-funded organisation that provides resources to help teachers and schools teach computing education in schools. They spearhead an internationally significant initiative to improve the quality of computing education in the UK.
Computing and online safety are two crucial areas of education today. At The White Horse Federation, we have put significant emphasis and resources on the teaching of these subjects in all our schools. Taking advantage of this new government-funded resource, many of our teachers have also attended face-to-face CPD sessions through the NCCE and STEM learning, acquiring new skills as a result.
Everyone at the federation is extremely proud that one of our schools was chosen to be showcased by the NCCE in this promotional video. For more details, and to see the video, read the school’s blog!
