Forest and Sandridge CE Primary School
We are a rapidly expanding school in Wiltshire on the outskirts of Melksham and are thrilled to be well into our third year in our amazing new state of the art, 21st century school building! We have 14 classes and an amazing preschool as well as many other fantastic facilities.
The Christian vision we have for our school can be found on the ‘Vision and Values’ page of this website. We aim to provide the very best for every child in our school and to help them to reach their potential within a safe and secure Christian environment. This is based on Jeremiah 29:11 that says, “I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord… “Plans to give you hope and a future.” Our school motto is “Learn, achieve, be happy, succeed!” We all sign up to this motto and to our Christian vision and values which underpin all we do at our school. Our vision and values are evident in the children’s great attitudes towards their learning and everyone’s positive relationships with each other in school.
We are enjoying a very busy year full of fun learning and other events and activities. Our dates for the year letter can be found on the ‘letters’ page. We will continue to work hard this year to ensure that the changes to the National Curriculum and assessment are fully embedded across the school. We pledge to ensure that our school curriculum is stimulating and exciting whilst fulfilling the requirements of the National Curriculum. Our curriculum is skills-based and built around themes which ensures that the children’s learning experiences are exciting, meaningful and relevant to them.
We are continuing to work hard together in order to bring about further improvements to our school. We were thrilled by the results of our most recent SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) in October 2014 when we were judged to be an Outstanding Church School and also by our good grading given by Ofsted (November 2014). You can read both the reports via the links at the bottom of this page. We are excited about the steps we have already taken, and continue to take, to bring about further improvement… continuing our journey towards excellence!
