Welcome to St. George’s Church of England Primary School!
The children are at the heart of all that we do at St. George’s. We aim to provide the very best for every child in our school and support them to reach their full potential in a safe and happy environment. Everything that we do at St. George’s is based upon our Christian values. As a Church of England School, our vision and values are Christian. We hope that children will be inspired to develop self confidence and self assurance to fulfil roles within society, whilst also respecting the unique talents and beliefs of others. For more information about our vision and values, please see the links below.
St. George’s Primary School provides a safe and stimulating learning environment, with a creative curriculum underpinned by engaging teaching that develops a sense of purpose and curiosity. We follow the expectations of the National Curriculum in an exciting and stimulating way. Our curriculum is skills-based and built around these which ensure the children’s learning is as meaningful as possible.
St. George’s Primary School is a small village school. The original “School House” was built in 1859 and was next to St. George`s Church. It still exists today, but is now a private residence. In 1968 our “new school” was built in Pound Lane which is where we are today. 2011 saw the grand opening of our new extensions which consist of a lovely new hall and two classrooms.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school direct with any queries you may have.
