Sixth Form Students Collect Their Results

Posted on: August 17th, 2018

It’s been a nervous wait for year 13 students at Ridgeway Sixth Form College, Devizes Sixth Form College, Gloucester Academy, John Madejski Academy, and Melksham Oak Academy, but results day finally arrived yesterday.

Students took their exams in May and June, and had to wait more than two months to find out how they did. For many students, the results determined whether they would be accepted into their university of choice, meaning it had been an especially anxious — yet exciting — time.

The White Horse Federation is proud to say that, across our 5 sixth forms, students were delighted with their results. There was a great atmosphere as the results were collected and both students and staff celebrated each other’s success. Their amazing results contributed to high standards across all of the sixth forms, as well as impressive pass rates:

A-level Pass Rates

The following percentages represent the number of students who achieved at least one A-E grade A-level:

Devizes Sixth Form College — 99%

Gloucester Academy — 79.2%

John Madejski Academy — 100%

Melksham Oak Academy — 96.7%

Ridgeway Sixth Form College — 96%

Vocational Pass Rates:

The following percentages represent the number of students who achieved at least one vocational qualification:

Devizes Sixth Form College — 100%

Gloucester Academy — 82%

John Madejski Academy — 95.8%

Melksham Oak Academy — 92%

Ridgeway Sixth Form College — TBC

Julian Morgan, The White Horse Federation’s Director of Secondary Education, said: “We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our students and staff.”

“Through hard work and dedication, our year 13 students have opened the door to a host of exciting opportunities. We are thrilled that these fantastic young adults can now go on to embrace the world of work or further education. Well done to you all.”

We would like to congratulate all of our year 13 students on their success and wish them the best of luck in the future, whether they are going to university in September or joining the world of work.
