In 2017, there were more than 350 children and teenagers in Swindon who were in need of a foster home. That’s 350 young people living without the love, care, and affection that so many of us take for granted.
Swindon Borough Council is searching for foster carers in the area to change the lives of young people who require a caring family during a critical point in their childhood. The Council’s ‘Wanted’ campaign is breaking down barriers and working to dispel a number of common myths that prevent people from signing up as a foster carer.
As a multi-academy trust, The White Horse Federation knows first-hand just how difficult the modern world is for young people, especially when they do not have a strong support network at home. That’s why the Federation fully supports Swindon Borough Council’s campaign to increase the number of foster carers in Swindon.
