The White Horse Federation has demonstrated a strong, forward-thinking approach to allergy management across its 30 schools.
In November 2024, TWHF Commercial Director Rijk Van Der Merwe, identified the need for a more proactive strategy to support pupils with allergies. Following discussions with Kitt Medical, the trust implemented Anaphylaxis Kitts alongside comprehensive staff training, ensuring schools were equipped to respond effectively to allergic emergencies.

This early action positioned the federation ahead of the requirements set out in Benedict’s Law, which mandates that all schools in England must have adrenaline auto-injectors, appropriate training, and clear allergy policies in place by September 2026.
While many schools are now working towards compliance, The White Horse Federation is already well prepared. Demonstrating the value of early planning, strong leadership, and a clear commitment to student safety and wellbeing.
