Before applying

We welcome applications from all candidates interested in joining our team. If you require sponsorship to work in the UK, we will consider your application; however, sponsorship is not guaranteed for every role and is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Please note that we are unable to provide individual advice on visa eligibility. Any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory DBS, identification, and reference checks before your start date.

If a school you're interested in doesn't currently have any listed vacancies, it means there are no open roles at that time. We encourage you to check nearby schools within our trust, as opportunities may be available elsewhere in your area.

Applying through our careers portal

All vacancies are listed on our Careers Page, which links to our recruitment portal on My New Term. To apply, you’ll need to create an account on My New Term, where you can submit applications and track their progress.

We recommend applying as early as possible. Schools may begin shortlisting and interviewing before the advertised closing date. Some vacancies may specify a time of day for closure—please check this carefully before submitting your application.

Please complete all sections of the form thoroughly. You’ll be asked to provide:

  • Personal details (name, contact info)
  • Right to work status
  • Current and previous employment history (including any gaps)
  • Education and qualifications
  • Membership of professional bodies
  • A supporting statement tailored to the role (refer to the Job Description and Person Specification)
  • Diversity and monitoring information (not shared with the panel until after shortlisting)
  • Details of two referees (one must be your current or most recent employer)
  • Relevant declarations

You must provide two referees. One should be your current or most recent employer. If this role didn’t involve working with children, please include a referee from your most recent child-related role.

You may also include a character reference, provided they are not related to you and have known you for at least five years.

We usually contact referees before interviews. If you prefer us not to do so, please indicate this clearly in your application.

No. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance, we do not accept applications made solely with a CV. You may upload a CV to support your application, but it must be accompanied by a fully completed application form.

Yes. If you decide not to proceed with your application, you can log in to My New Term and withdraw it. Our Recruitment Team will be notified automatically.

The post-application process

You’ll receive confirmation once your application is submitted. After the closing date, the shortlisting panel will review applications.

If shortlisted, our Recruitment Team will contact you to arrange an interview. If unsuccessful, you’ll be notified via My New Term. Please note that detailed feedback may not be available at this stage.

During school holidays, response times may be slightly longer due to staff availability.
