Just ahead of International Women’s Day on Friday 8 March, the Wiltshire Community Foundation hosted an afternoon tea event at Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort in partnership with Lady Lansdowne and Wansbroughs to raise awareness of some of the challenges faced by women and girls across Wiltshire and Swindon.

The event focused on raising awareness of the issue of violence against women and girls and also highlighted the new Women and Girls Fund. Simon Cowley was lucky enough to represent TWHF and speak at the event, alongside Kate Rowland from SDASS. Simon’s presentation provided an insight into the work of some of our Swindon schools working towards the Domestic Abuse Aware Schools Award.
