Zouch Academy head students attend the official opening of the Tidworth Civic Centre and Community Hub!

On Tuesday 26th March, Wiltshire Council invited children from Zouch Academy to participate in the official opening of the new Civic Centre and community hub. Not only were they part of the greeting party for the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Sarah Troughton, but they also presented her with flowers and stood alongside her after she unveiled the official plaque. The Lord-Lieutenant is His Majesty, The King's representative in the county, and Sarah Troughton's appointment covers the whole historic county of Wiltshire, administered by Wiltshire Council and Swindon Borough Council.

Nina Johnson, Headteacher at Zouch Academy said; “We are incredibly proud of the exemplary role models these children are, and we commend their superb manners and mature interactions with all the officials in attendance. The children engaged in conversation with the Lord Lieutenant and Madam Mayor, and they followed directions diligently and professionally”.

Neil Morris, Deputy Headteacher praised the students, saying; “We could not be prouder of them and applaud them for being such wonderful ambassadors of our school's values”.
