The Croft Primary School in Swindon has recently been rated ‘Outstanding’ in every category by Ofsted and the whole school community is thrilled with the news.

The primary school, which is part of The White Horse Federation, was praised for being a school where pupils “thrive” and where “staff care deeply” for all pupils.

Ofsted also highlighted that “pupils, including pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), achieve exceptionally well” and are “exceedingly well prepared” for the next stage of their learning.

Inspectors noted that ‘Croftie’ values lie at the heart of the school and pupils feel safe because of the “excellent relationships” they build with their peers and the adults in the school.

The report praises school leaders and staff for being “proactive and relentless” in ensuring that each and every pupil receives high-quality education and care.

Other highlights include:
•    Staff “skilfully adapt” their teaching to meet pupils’ needs.
•    Pupils follow a “rich and ambitious” curriculum which exceeds the breadth and depth of what is expected nationally.
•    Pupils “adore” reading for pleasure.
•    Staff take every opportunity to “enhance and ignite” pupils’ curiosity and thirst for learning.
•    Pupils’ behaviour is “exemplary” and pupils “celebrate differences” and understand that they should treat everyone with respect.
•    Pupils delight in the many clubs and trips the school offers.
