It was a misty match, when Tregoze Primary School Under 11’s boys Football team triumphed in the county final. Winning on penalties, they have been crowned county champions and will now represent Wiltshire in the South-West Regional Finals in Bristol in a few months.

The team defeated St. Catherines in the final, coming back from a 1-0 deficit to equalize before going to penalties.

Under the guidance of their coach and teacher, Shaun Preen, Shaun said, “The boys have put in tremendous effort and should feel incredibly proud of their achievements. We are thrilled to have made it this far and now have an amazing opportunity to represent Wiltshire at the Regional Finals. The boys exemplify our school values, and it’s wonderful to see them reach their full potential.”

Lee Edmonds, Primary Curriculum Lead for The White Horse Federation and an advocate for sporting excellence across the Trust, added;
"There is so much sporting talent across the Trust, and we are very privileged to be able to inspire young lives everyday coaching them to realise and achieve their dreams. Congratulations to the team and the best of luck boys, for the regional finals."

The team will compete for Wiltshire in the South-West Regional Finals on Saturday, March 22nd, in Bristol, where they will face winners from all the counties across South-West England.
